課程概述 |
本課程以歐洲音樂美學經典文獻之閱讀與分析為主，本學期課程大致以十八世紀為主，所閱讀的作者包括 Batteux, Rameau, Burke, Hutchinson, Rousseau, Webb, Sulzer, M. Mendelssohn, Koch 以及其他作者；本課程使用閱讀版本嘗試以原典的原始版本作為閱讀材料，將會利用部份網路資源，例如 Early English Books Online (EEBO), 18th Century Collections Online (ECCO), 法國國家圖書館的 Gallica 等。另外，本課程也將就十八世紀音樂的古典主義，做比較深入的討論，包括 Ratner, Rosen, Hepokoski 對於古典風格與奏鳴曲的看法。 |

課程目標 |
(一) 本課程主要目標為訓練學生經典閱讀、理解與詮釋的能力。
(二) 教師將帶領學生逐步做文獻回顧、經典閱讀、理論探討。
(三) 學期中除經典著作閱讀之外，另穿插經典音樂作品的聆聽討論，期能兼顧理論與評論。 |

課程要求 |
本課程主要目標為經典的閱讀理解，修課同學應盡量閱讀文獻，以便有效參與討論。除了期末書面報告外，本課程修課同學於期中有二次口頭心得報告機會。 |
